Michigan District Adopts Merit Pay Plan

Members of the Ionia Public Schools Board of Education approved a motion to adopt a merit pay plan, which is required due to new state legislation.  According to the plan, teachers and administrators would receive a small stipend for extraordinary performance, including having satisfactory or above evaluations, no disciplinary actions against them, meet Adequate Yearly Process, and have a high attendance through the school year.
