Is the Educator Compensation Institute a teacher union initiative?
No. ECI is a joint effort of teacher and administrator advocates. Its staff of Contributing Editors includes Superintendents, union advocates, teachers, researchers, and others interested in the issues related to education employee compensation.
How is ECI funded?
ECI is a non-profit corporation funded through the contributions of organizations interested in the issues involving educator employee compensation. Such organization may include teacher organizations, administrator and school board organizations, and other groups interested in this issue. ECI is also funded through contribution subscriptions to ECI Monthly, the monthly newsletter of the Educator Compensation Institute.
Who operates ECI?
The Institute is operated by its Executives, Jim Carlson, Clark Reinke, and Sarah Berth. Jim is a UniServ Director, Clark is a Superintendent of Schools, and Sarah is a Staff Assistant. All work and reside in Wisconsin.
